I keep the seatbelt buckled and tight. When there’s a passenger it’s nice and quiet.

Yep they get loose. Mine was so bad that the seat would pop out of the bracket going around a corner. My solution was to run a bead of weld inside the u shaped piece on the mount and file it down so the seat bracket fit snugly. I also have a piece of angle iron bolted to the bed behind the seat that butts up against the frame and use a hitch pin through the angle iron and the seat frame to lock the seat down.

Mine got to where it wouldn't stay in.. In fack when I was in Nam me, my CO and another guy were walking back from the helo pad. A guy I knew came by in a Jeep and stopped. Asked if we wanted a ride. Our CO [Capt] jumped in the front. We us enlisted guys were relegated sit on the floor in back. So we are driving along and go around a corner. Our CO, seat and the rifle he was holding all exit right out the side of the Jeep into some talc like road dust that is a foot deep. He come up looking like he was dipped in flour.. He walked the rest of the way

Back to my Jeep. I ended up welding some large washers to teh pivit points of my seat and use like a 1" bolt and nut to secure it.
