I have a 1953 M38A1 with an even fire Buick 231. It all started out, when I needed to purchase new front fenders. I didn’t want to cut them out for the existing outside frame headers, which are getting close to replacement. So now I’m going down the rabbit hole......haha! In a perfect world, I would rather have exhaust manifolds. I’ve read just about every post related to this, and have researched purchasing the high exhaust even fire manifolds. They are getting hard to find! I’m considering the Novak inside headers, but I’ll need relocate my steering shaft. I do have the Saginaw steering, and my shaft runs under the front frame support. Before I order a set of headers, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? This is my first post and I’ll try to add some pics.
    Thanks Dave

post a WTB add for manifolds in the classifieds section - members might surprise you with what they have sitting around. I got mine from a member here.

Here is a link so you can see the Novak Headers in a rig better. Several have used them here, and I've used them on several builds now since I helped Eric at Novak design them.

Thanks for the links Warloch. I quest my only option would be to order a set to see if they’ll fit. My fan blades are already 3/4 inch from the radiator and I hate to relocate my mounts.
    Thanks,
    Dave
