My son and I decided to get started on a project together that hopefully we'll finish up and have something for when he can drive (4 yrs away).
Picked the 67 Commando halfcab that a PO did some odd metal work to and I swapped a CJ grille onto.
Planning on running a 225/T18/D20 combo. D30/D44 with ~33" tires. Getting ready to pull the body off to get at the frame and start there.
Here how it sat just before I started to pull it apart:

I have a father-kids project myself. Nothing better than my 5yo saying "Come on Dad, lets go work on the Jeep."

Nice comando. I really like the cj front ends.

Good productive day. got things seperated and getting the frame closer to sandblasting. Though I will need to fix a couple of body mount brackets.

Looks like a good start to the project... I like the grill "display" on your shops wall!
