These pics are driver's side, 1956 CJ5 that had steps when new. Note the floor bolt-holes are slightly misaligned with each other.

I neglected to photograph the rear set of floor holes, maybe I can get to that this weekend.

You can also see a small torn hole in the floor, from where the steps got ripped off on the trail, as they always do.

What is the correct size / pitch bolt hardware for the step mounting?

5/16" coarse, IIRC. Better get a second opinion, it was a long time ago.

Now that I have these cleaned up from the POs parts box, I wanted to ask - are they OEM for a 1966 CJ5 Tux? And, guessing the welded one is not stock but a Bubba repair, right? Looks like the one of my two that is in better shape is spot welded:

welded one with extra bracket on bottom: D9F73360-32FC-40DA-A46C-4588087624F0.jpeg BA379CE1-028E-4291-B85C-11AF547EAF82.jpeg

My plan is to fix this crack and then prime and gloss black then and put them back on a shelf...

I had mentioned before and maybe need to say it again. These steps come left and right.
