How come some brake lines have a wire coil wrapped around the line? What is the purpose of this?

The coiled wire is a heat dissipating measure to keep brake fluid cool under severe operating conditions.

Thanks. I have some lines but only have 5 ft of this coil and I am trying to figure out where to wrap the lines. I am thinking around all of the bends and maybe up to the MC.

You can buy the coil new in bulk ... I think Inline Tube sells it. www.inlinetube.com
