Let me start off by saying I am by no means a transmission guy, I've rebuilt a t90 before but watched a step by step video. I cant find any information about how to work on the t14. I think a new set of needle bearings would get it on the road but I cant get this half of the shaft out of the case. Looking for information or advice on how to do it.

The correct way is to use a bearing puller to remove the rear bearing. A large splitter type puller that can clamp into the snap ring groove is ideal. Once the rear bearing is removed, the shaft will lift out through the top.

Alternatively, you can leave the rear bearing snap ring on and press or drive the shaft into the case (the snap ring will hold the bearing while you drive the shaft). Use this method carefully as it has potential to damage the case.

Look at my thread here. T-18 in the driveway - Full Size Jeep Network

I used the Harbor Freight "large bearing separator" to remove the front bearing from my T-18. You can similarly pull the bearing off of the main shaft of your T-14. The edge on the Harbor Freight separator is a bit thick, so you may need to grind it some. Or put it behind the snap ring, if you can.

The '72-75 CJ-5 Jeeps also used the T-14. So did the 6-cylinder Jeep trucks from around 1968 to 1976. A TSM covering any of these vehicles will cover disassembly of the T-14. For example, page 6-4 here JeepĀ® 1974 TSM online

A simple trick I used to use was an air hammer and a flat bladed bit. Pull the shaft back, put the bit behind the outer snap ring, angle it to the rear of the shaft and lightly begin rattling on it. The bearing will literally walk itself off the shaft. I used to rebuild transmissions all the time and this almost always worked.

You can use a hammer tip to rattle the bearings back on. Just insure you use the inner race to do so.
