I don't always buy 2WD, but when I do, I prefer......1948 Willys Jeepster Convertible
THAT"S what I call a "Jeepster." Not those johnnie-come-latelys.
The Most Interesting Man in the World Only drives Vintage Jeeps!
That’s a beaut and most surprisingly it’s offered at a sane price.

The early Jeepsters performance is leisurely at best. The L134 just isn't enough power. The F-head from 1950 was much improved.
I had opportunity to buy a friends's 1950 Jeepster with a 161 F head just last year, running and driving. He offered it to me for $2500, but I've got too many projects. In hindsight, I should have driven it home, but my girlfriend would have given me too much grief.
Agreed. Usually they have rust spots bubbling through and are priced at 12K or no rust and 14 to 15K. For under 10K, that seems to be a deal, but I'd rather have one with the flathead six.
I wanted one of those for a daily driver but my chauffeur threatened to quit.
