That is pretty impressive. Can't wait to hear how it feels in use.

Looks good. It will be interesting to see how it works in the rocks. My brother has one on the rear of his linked commando and it helps a lot. A side note, he put a lengthways witness line (sharpie) on the torsion bar. After a few seasons, pull it out to see the zig-zag history.

Everything is tacked in pretty solid.... but not permanent.... I'm hoping to do a flex test today.
Dropped a plumb bob to get the axle mount lined up with the swaybar. I will need to thread the swaybar link rods a little bit more so the jamb nuts will fit.

The time for a flex test has arrived. Lifting with the forklift I can feel a bit of resistance from the bar... but it is not limiting the flex.

Once you see it..... you can imagine the headache on the trail.....

The brake lines are going to have to get routed behind the shock. The frame attachment point will need to get moved rearward......

That's why you flex it in the driveway.

I adjusted the shock mounting locations on the axle just a tad and started playing with the brake line routing. Still not getting any warm feelings about this hose setup.....
These calipers and hoses are 2wd S10, I am going to look at the 4wd S10 calipers and hoses for better routing.

I was just looking at Rockauto (I need to order brake hoses for my Track Kick conversion) and the 2wd S10 hose is 12" long with M10 banjo bolts, but the 4wd one is almost twice as long and has an M12 banjo fitting. May not be an issue if you swap out the calipers too. Now, we all know how reliable descriptions on parts sites can be, but thought I'd pass it along.

‘01 Infinity QX4 front brake hose

22” long, m10 banjo, but the upper fitting is 10mm female; I’m not sure what you’re running on that end.

I'm looking at 85' S10. They are both 10mm banjo fittings. One is 12" and the 4wd is 20" roughly.

I'm scrapping the dream of using off the shelf brake lines. I need a 90 degree banjo fitting for shock clearance.
Here is where I got over the weekend. Good heavy coat of semi gloss black. Still wet in the picture.
I cant seem to find my 1/2" fine thread LH die to thread the sway bar links down enough to get jamb nuts on them.

I threw in the towel and ordered all the necessary pieces to install steel braided rubber coated lines with AN fittings. I could make lots of off the shelf hoses work..... but I was not going to be truly happy with the outcome.

The thought and install of this looks good and appears to work to allow the suspension to have a reasonable amount of articulation. The main reason for installing a “sway bar” was or used to be for eliminating or reducing the lateral flex and body roll is my thought. Is the flex that is allowed going to render the bar useless on the street? Why not have the bar do it’s job on the street and disconnect it for off-road or times when full suspension flex is needed? Your Jeep looks great.

The stock jeep swaybars were a response to mounting legal challenges due to roll overs. I find the stock bars way too stiff even with my super soft spring setup. It doesn't take much to take the body roll out of a leaf spring setup.
Almost all of the off road racing/rock crawling rigs are running these type of swaybars front and rear. These new adjustable rate swaybars allow you to fine tune the amount of resistance force applied and have long enough arms that they don't limit suspension travel. The swaybar increases traction off road as it limits the unloading of weight off of an individual tire.
I am working on figuring out a way now to add one of these to the rear of my jeep.
