    Here we go...
I recently was given this Jeep. I had always wanted this particular Jeep. My uncle bought the Jeep for my cousin wile he was in high school. My cousin drove it for a couple of years and after graduating high school he decided to go into the Army. The jeep sat for about 6 years with out running. I finally got the balls to ask my cousin if he would sale it to me so i could fix it and wheel it. to my surprise he said i could have it as long as i bought him a good bottle of scotch.:D since then I've been putting some good weekends and week days to get all the wiring correct and get the motor running.

The Jeep is a 1969 CJ5 willys with the Dauntless 225 odd fire. So far i have got all the wiring correct, cleaned all the fuel system, replaced all the fuel system filters, replaced the exhaust system, replaced all the charging system and upgraded the alternator to a 12si delco. I am in the process of sanding, fixing all the rust and painting.after that is finished ill start replacing the suspension and so on.

The day i brought it home.

I'm still waiting for his request. He is coming to visit in about a month and I'll be sure and get him a really good Botle.
Thanks! Just started sanding to repair all the rust and get a nice color.:D

I started sanding the fenders last night and found a lot of dings covered with bondo on the lower front of one of them... Instead of replacing them I decided to go ahead and trim them to get a flat fender look. What do you guys think?

I like it, chopped to look like a flat fender, way better than trashing them.

I hear ya there, my fenders are really, really cracked, but I like 'em, and really don't wanna toss them.

I might keep this in mind! :stout:

Sorry I haven't posted. I've been extremely busy trying to get her ready for some spring wheeling. I finished patching up all the light holes in the rear, patching all the rusty spots and putting a new roll cage. I'm falling I love all over!
