Just completed installing a new wiring harness and fished a new horn wire through steering column. Jeep started right up , but horn did not work. Have tried with and with out horn relay. still no go. Do I need a better ground through the steering column and steering box. Not sure what to check next! This is a 1961 CJ5.

Do you know if the horn works?

Horn relay? Or did you mean fuse?

    Are your horns themselves grounded?

Is the copper disc properly seated into the rubber cover? does the horn work with just a hot wire?

Try testing the horn directly...Process of elimination.
