Good to know!!! Thanks for the encouragement. We have our own pool, so I think we can get her in there and doing what needs to be done for a quick healing. She had her right hip replaced and that was really cool. The way they do it is amazing, but she now has no pain from her hip which has been deformed from birth. We just didn't know it until the pain started. The knee has to be replaced, because she had an accident that broke her knee and surrounding area in four places. When it healed with a piece of metal and a billion screws in it, the lower half of her leg pronated outward so that all her weight was being carried on the outside of the knee and messed up the cartilage and other things. I am glad to hear that your wife recovered nicely. How long before she had full use of her leg? I understand that the replacement knee is limited as to the angle you can bend it. Is this so? Any info you can give my wife would be appreciated. You can email me at c.hancey@comcast.net
By the way, where did you get your rollcage? I am looking into them now. Thanks...

We have a picture somewhere that the doctor took. Her knee was bent into almost a 180 degree angle.
    A year , I think. Maybe a year and a half.

I built it. Got the 2" tubing from a Bronco outfit that just happened to also do cages and bars for CJ5's. I just had to cut it to length and weld it up. I already had the bar behind the seat, and got the tubing that runs from the floor up the inside of the dash and windshield, plus for stringers or runners that run between the roll bar and the front bar behind the windshield. The center two pieces were spaced out enough by measuring the cb radio I use and making space for that to go between the headers at the center line.

Makes like a halo around the drivers head and the passengers head.

I will have to look and see if I can find the reciepts or emails from them, but it has been close to 10 years since I did it.

This is pretty close to what I got with an extra two spreader bars added in. : http://extremecustomparts.com/i-361...j5cj2-cj3-mb38-willys-jeep-free-shipping.html

How is the Weber working for you? Some day I think I would like one of those.
BRW, how is your wife's knee?

I did the pertronix distributor this past summer on my fhead, and i feel it was a much appreciated upgrade, personally.

I wonder if the 2bbl webber carb would be a leap forward over my carter yf?
'Tis the season for jeep repairs while its 2 degrees outside!

    WHAT WEBER is only 150CFM?

The 32/36 DGV is a typically rated 230-300 cfm even the little Holley Weber 5200's were rated at 230 cfm and they had 23/27 ventures

Also a 134 L or F head at 4800 rpm calls for at least 165 CFM and you always want more ability then requirement.

I'm currently in the process of developing an Aluminum intake manifold for the Weber DGV on a 134 L Head Willys

You do know you are not going to run an L-head or F-head a5 4800 rpm, don't you. 3200 rpm or a little over, and 4k as your redline marker on your tach.
Mine does 50mph at 3200rpm with no overdrive and 5:38 final drive gearing. And I still have both throttle and engine that will go to 4k and above.

As for the Weber, use the same one that is used on 1600 VW aircooled engines. And if you use Redline, the jets should be the right ones for our application.
