I like it. That's what I was going for, but I could get the angles cut right for the ends to fit flush to the angle. I see you had that trouble too... I'll bet I scratched my head for 2 weeks trying to figure that out.

You need to have it drawn up and measured first.

Remember the old saying: "The Russians don't take a **** without a plan"
    :D.

I had jigs set up on the my worktable, drawings on the floor and walls, had nails in the front of my worktable, so I could hang the bars there... You name it, I tried it. Even had Harry come over (engineer) and look at it. There was just no way to cut both ends with a regular compound miter saw. I got one end right, but needed the saw to tilt the opposite direction to cut the other end. I don't know about all miter saws, but this one only tilted one way...

But, I've got some more tubing under the house that's already got good bends in it - I can hack that up, if I need to. Come to think of it - it kinda looks like a front hoop and spreaders for an early 5...

ha,ha thanks guys. :D i acttullay had the angles good, it is sitting flat....i just screwd up on the length of the ends, so if i had cut them so they were compleatly flush i wouldnt be happy with how far they would have been sticking out. i figured i would just cap what is open and be ok with it. :D

I for sure looks pretty good but I would have mounted it to the frame. Then you could really have them protect your body. They will for sure help as is but would be more usefull (actually sitting on racks and logs) if they were mounted to the frame. By the pics you posted it seems like it would not take much either. Seems like plenty of room. Good luck. Zach
