Well, I have been struggling with a ruptured disc in my lower back and it is really putting a damper on me enjoying one of my favorite pass times - cruising around in my CJ5. I need to do something in order to keep my sanity! It is difficult for me to say this, particularly since I have always taken pride in scrounging for, or adapting parts for my jeep, but I must buy new seats. I am looking for recommendations for some aftermarket seats that will fit in a 67' cj5 and that will offer the most comfort. I saw an add today for the Mastercraft suspension seat, does anyone have experience with this seat?

Another alternative would be to keep my current seats and swap my springs. Although I would like a little more lift, I don't think I could beat the ride my current Rancho, 1-inch lift springs are providing.

    Any suggestions would help.

I have had both corbeu and beard suspension seats. Now that is one of the first mods I make when I get a new jeep. I think you can get the mastercraft seat in a little smaller size that might help with a smaller jeep install. I have a ton of pictures. Hope I didn't get carried away here...

I have 9 fractured vertebra from osteoporosis. That is also the only way I can drive the jeep. First one is mine. You can see how big that looks and how little room it leaves for the steering. I went to a tilt column.

The mastercraft speaks for itself. They also offer the nice covers. You can see the black matercraft seat is quite a bit smaller and would fit better. I also looked at some "RaceTrim" seats while I was at sema. They seemed pretty nice too but I really can't speak to them. A lot of the venders there had beard seats in their creations.

I have been looking at softer, high-back seat replacement for a while too; however I am scared that all of the aftermarket seats will not leave any room for me between the steering wheel and the seat.

I use PRP suspension seats and Love them. You get custom color and cloth combos - I even had them NOT put the rib on the edge so the wear is better. Air Lumbar support is also real nice.

The wife had 4 vert caged and fused last year and she liked them before and still likes them.
