I don't want another Omix deal, two of them have broken on me and it's a giant nightmare to change them. Is there a good brand of clutch fork?

I found an NOS unit on ebay when I replaced mine...... LUK clutches generally makes a good product. Their replacement fork number is LUK LF9813

Maybe try Novak. I bought one for my SM 465 swap but ended up using the original with a long (deep) throw out bearing.

You have my fullest sympathy. I had a hell of a time, and I was buying through reputable dealers. They kept coming with the spring tines off center. I think it took three tries.... I'll try to find the paperwork. And yes, I think the access hole in the bell housing was originally designed for use in the Spanish Inquisition.
