Pulled the engine and set it aside for now.

Put the plasma cutter to work. I tried to gauge the welds off but that just made a mess so I went old school!

US Mags arrived and mounted up a set of tires and now have a roller!

I wanted to mock up the motor, transmission and transfer case in the frame and I'm sure glad I did!!

The crossmember is NOT in the same location on the frame as the 134 4 Cylinder. It is exactly 1" different. So I rolled the frame on its side for ease in drilling the new holes.

I sure hope this is the only time it is on its side....

New holes drilled and motor mount towers marked and ready to be welded in.

Nice looking wheels! They look similar to the old renegade wheels.

Welded in the motor mount towers. Look factory to you?

    Prepped, primed and painted!

I also rebuilt the Ross Steering-box. It was still full of oil that I would say came from 1967. FYI: The steering box in the 67' with the Dauntless V6 is bigger in size than the 62' with the 4 cylinder.

Oil pump first. This engine is so clean with low miles, I'm not sure why I'm even replacing parts!

    Onto the timing chain.

    Water pump and fuel pump.

Oil pan, felpro gasket needed trimming!

Intake manifold, I went with the end gaskets but really took my time.

    Paint next!
