Thanks James. My shackle angles look ideal but I definitely run out of droop quicker than I would like. Maybe I'll try a longer shackle and see if I can get more droop.

You can sorta see the angle of the fronts here

I have a hanging brake pedal and thru the floor clutch pedal. The PO had a body lift on it at one time so the clutch hole has already been "clearanced" let's say.

Got my oil pressure gauge installed. I ran the crappy plastic tubing thru some fuel line inside the engine bay, hoping to prolong it's life before eminent failure

I'm checking things off my list, narrowing it down to stuff I can actually accomplish. Mounting the winch is tops, then rocker protection ( to hide the trashed rockers) and a few odds and ends. But I've been driving it!

I can do that, I saw the copper kit at the FLAPS today but didn't buy it. I had a car a long time ago where the connection failed at the gauge and filled up my floor pan and carpet. I think I'll just go ahead and do that over.

If you ever want to "upgrade" your bicycle lever, they make ones that you can adjust the reach (I think avid makes a few models with this feature.) Might make it more comfortable to throttle on the fly. I'll be doing this mod as well someday, need to get my jeep running first!

Haha, I'm just not doing stuff. If I only put things on the list that I actually do, then I can get everything done. :D

And/or a NPT plug to cap off the port at the block in case the line fails far from the gauge.

I had an old POS 2a that was so rusted, the copper oil pressure line was the best ground strap it had between the battery and the starter. The copper line exploded when I tried starting it.

The only problem with capping it off is the whole way home your wondering if you hurt the engine. Did you catch it in time? Every little noise..... making you wonder if it’s about to blow up....... thinking if I could only know what the oil pressure is......

Copper line, plastic line I gave up on both and went with an electrical gauge.
I know the purists will scorn me but I have no worries about leaky oil lines.

There was some sort of electric connection plug in the hole that I removed to install the NPT. Maybe it had an electric one at some point.

I just bought one of these. I need to install it but may need an adapter, the area is a pretty tight fit.

This is the thing I took out of the port where I put the NPT in for the tubing. Maybe I already had an electronic oil pressure sender in there

Yup, sometime in your jeeps past it had a electric oil gauge. I like them over the mechanical gauge.
