Hey Joe!!! I have the 225 oddfire V6.....I dunno' if thats the same engine you've got but, I ordered the DUI unit from Quadratec.....I wound up sending it back though:( the fit was TIGHT and would require a lot more grinding on the intake manifold than I was willing to do. The DUI unit was VERY well put together and looked high quality, I was bunned that I couldn't get it to work.

The problem I had was: I ground the manifold on the front corner enough to get the unit in. I tried to fire up the engine but kept getting bad popping through the carb. The DUI units cap is secured to the body using 4 screws and prevented me from turning the distributor body enough to really tweek the timing. I think that if I could have tweeked the timing that it would have worked great. In addition the cap isn't labeled as to the wire number 1-2-3-4-5-6 etc. There weren't any directions saying what was what. IF you could get it to work I'm sure it would be awesome. I think I have some pics of how tight the fit was, I'll try and find em' if you want to see them.

Sounds like what we did to get MOP's HEI to fit.

He's got a DUI in his now. Worth the effort IMO.

Oh, I don't see why you couldn't use MSD with a DUI. It's just a nice HEI unit.

How much grinding are we talking about? I'm getting ready to do this mod as well, but want to make sure it's not a "science project". Anyone got pics of the mods required for fitment?
