    If possible, please confirm whether these parts are original or modified!!

    All of the parts pictured appear to be original except the eye/chain shown in the last photograph. That is not original. Can you determine/guess the purpose/function of that chain? Just curious why a previous owner may have added it.

    Thanks Robert for the input on the originality of the parts.

    I have no idea why the PO added the eye / chain combo. It's on both sides and has S hooks at the ends. The PO told me the guy before him used it to haul compost, but that doesn't really help determining the function of these chains. :?

    I removed that picture from the previous post and added a more useful picture of the safety hooks.

    The safety chains and hooks are also original. Once you study the differences between the civilan and military Bantam 1/4 ton trailers, you will note that the civilian safety chains and hooks are different than the military parts.
