More On My Rr Spring Swap. Question For The Masses

I am still working on my shock bolt issue. But in the meantime since I had to remove the U-bolt plates to extract the broken bolts I decided to check out my spring pad issue. Seems that the alignment dowels on the front springs were a bit too wide for my existing spring perches. Thus during the last shock episode I noticed the passenger U-bolt plate was tilted at a slight angle. From what I can tell my existing perches are right at the OEM spec of 27-1/2" Measuring the springs, at the front, 27-1/2" c-c. At the rear 28 " . At the spring perches 28" . I have new perches of the proper size. But before I go to cutting and welding I'd like to fix this. I am going to call RR tomorrow and see what they say.
