Does anyone know if there is a rebuild kit available for a single reservoir Master Cylinder for a 1957 CJ5? I drove ours this afternoon for the first time in about a month, and the pedal was extremely soft. It required to pump the pedal several times to get brakes. I have just had new shoes and wheel cylinders installed on all four corners. I'm trying to narrow it down to a line failure or master cylinder. Does anyone have any other ideas?

    Thanks

Have you looked at the master cylinder fluid level lately? Pumping the pedal to build pressure usually indicates air in the system. If the master is bleeding by then it would slowly move all the way to the floor. Check level first. Rebuild kits are avail at your FLAPS.

I thought it meant the brakes needed adjusting. Good to know.
