I need to have my crankshaft turned and polished and am looking for a machine shop in the area, within a 100 miles or so, that can do the job.
I’m searching around but not finding much. All of the local shops don’t do the work themselves and send the cranks they get off to another shop, so I would have to pay for shipping to and from a shop that does the work anyway plus whatever the local shop wants to tack on. I’d much rather deal directly even if I have to travel to get it done.
So you guys know of any shops that would work with me?

When I used to live in Pittsburg. I had family and friends in the St.Paul Erie area say take it to a machine shop around those towns. I stopped by there and it seemed they had alot more equipment than a normal machine shop. They should be able to do it if they are still in business I was probably there 4 years ago at least. Trying to remember what road it is on its like 2 miles from my grandparents farm. I think it is 2 or 3 miles south off of highway 146 on Trego road.

I think I know the one you're talking about on Trego. Thanks, I'll give them a call and see what they can do.
    Anyone else have any leads?
