Got a recent post on the Bantam Trailer List and explored the URL to find more info on this guys M-416B.

    http://home.comcast.net/~cj.7/m416.htm

My Military unit had 60 plus M-416s when I first enlisted and we had 3 Jerry Cans mounted on the back of each trailer. This site shows a bracket that was welded on the side. Does anyone know if this was standard on the 416B Air Lift Trailers or someones very nicely done mod?

    Pretty sure thats a mod.

And pretty sure if you explore the Files section of the Bantam group there's a PDF there with the plans for it.

    Mike,

I don't believe this is a shade tree mod on the B1 models. That bracket looks to well engineered. I've never seen lift rings on any other model 416 either, and from a little quick research I do believe these two mods and the mity mite wheels/6.00 X 16 NDTs are about the only mods that differ a 416/416A1 from a 416 B1 and of course the surge brakes.

I'll have to see if a TM is still available or if its on my trailer CD at work.
