    hmm
never heard of anything like that
the front grille lights are 46, early 47
the wheel bolt pattern appears 5 hole
4 hole would be DJ or 2wd
    it looks correct
I am skeptical of its originality though

One of the mags did a lwb Flattie on a TJ frame years ago. Think it was Fourwheeler.
They strecthed the body like a 6 is.
    It was very cool.

I'd like to see it, and hope it is real, but I seriously doubt it.

BTW- there is a CJ3b/CJ5 combination at a local JY that some told me was "definately original" ;)

Tub looks all wrong at the door openings top of the fenderwells (Fancy curves). Looks like a sectioned M170 tub

    I'd like to add this:

I was at Lakeville speedway and there was a firefighter there that was looking at speedy. He said that his dept just donated their "long flatfender jeep firetruck" to the local museum. I questioned him about his definition of the JEEP. He would have swore on a stack of bibles that it was original. I have to visit the museum this summer to see it. Who knows....

Just looking back at that pic, the gas fill is goofy, too. Not an M170 - wrong fill location, flat cowl, etc etc.

Weird that there's no record of them, and yet they seem to be showing up in a few places....

Maybe earlycj5.com can be the first to confirm their existence!! :D

Well, I have seen a number of them, although most were cj3b body style.

I used to travel in southeast asia, and they are very common in the Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, and Malaysia (although less so in Malaysia).

I also saw extended wheelbase wranglers in the Philippines as well. Boy, did I ever want one of them! There was an effort at one time to bring some EXTD Wranglers back, but I don't think it ever got off the ground.

Now, I know what Jeepneys are, but the jeeps I am talking about were jeeps, and not the wonderful jeepney.

The extended wheelbase wranglers were only shipped overseas, so there is a possibility that extended wheelbase flatfenders were solely shipped overseas or (more likely) were manufactured overseas under license.

So, a "CJ2A" extended wb may have been made in the late 50's or early 60's under license overseas.

Probably the nicest Ford Jeep I've ever seen was in Karachi.

I saw LWB flat fender in Europe last month. I didn't get a very good look at it but it was a flat fender.
