Heh, think I found it without much effort. Looks like the only Jeep Ammeter on all of ebay that doesn't have negative values on the face :p

    Mike,
So you used the ones with the horizontal pleats -NOT the vertical pleats and the installed ok?
The seller is unable answer if they will fit a 66 model CJ.
IF THEY WORKED FOR YOU , should fit my 66.
    thanks-Joe

Yes, the pleats are horizontal. Post a picture of your seats and I can tell you if they look like they are the same type as mine.

I have had 3 sets of the bestop replacement seats and have really liked the quality of them. I am going to try the smittybuilt ones next as there is a distributor here locally so no shipping.

Yep, just like mine. Looks like the foam is in great shape too. Should turn out well.

I had Bestop seats in my CJ 5 which I sold years ago. They always hurt my lower back. I now have Smittybilt seats in my CJ 6 which I have put a ton of miles on, and I've been super happy with the comfort and wear. I think the price was great for both Bestop and Smittybilt.

Good evening, I found your post via the search function. I too am looking at purchasing the seat cover kits from eBay for the 72-72 CJ. My jeep is a 69 so it would be very helpful to hear about your experience. Did the covers fit okay? Are you happy with them?

I would prefer to keep my original seats but the covers are toast...if this kit doesn't work out I'll likely forgo the folding passenger seat and buy the Smittybuilt/Besttop. Thanks in advance.

I have used that kit twice now, on both my 67 and 69. I am happy with it. A good fit and good results rely on the foam being in good shape though, so keep that in mind.
