That motor is not one that will work, yet. There has been talk of an adapter but none yet it is not the same the RWD motor. The intake points to the back of the motor and IIRC something is funny about the starter.

ok, besides the oddfire and evenfire, what is the 3800 that uses the bell housing from the s-10 pick up and bolts into the cj5?

The '88-'95 Vortec V-6 whether TBI or MPFI or CPFI uses a standard Chevrolet 90 degree bolt pattern bellhousing. Chart is incorrect in that respect. I've had several of them....

The 3800 came out of the FWD Buicks...I had a LeSabre with one...anyway just google it and you should find some good threads over at pirate4x4.com on it.

I think I remember it used a different bell than the other buick V6's, but I can't remember if it was SBC or not...

Anyway google and pirate will be your friend here :D

Ahh, ok, thought it was referring to the type of bellhousing pattern used.

Try early '90s Camaro with 3400 and 5spd or '80s S10 with 2.8 and 5spd. Either should have a bellhousing that could be modified to work.

Good info. Also the ones with the 3.1 will work as well.
