On m y '79 CJ5 I bought some Jones Turbo Tubes and the Summit brand ball collectors that bolt up to a standard header collector. I welded them to the mufflers along with some turnouts right in front of the tires.

I use Super Traps on mine from Summit - got the collectors from there as well.

One thing I meant to add was the ball collectors eliminate the gaskets turning any collector into a gasketless seal. Awesome. I searched on Summit's site and they had a Heddman 2 1/2" to 2 1/2" aluminized for $35. I ran the Summit branded ones but did not find them in my search. The only 2 1/2" to 2" they show is a Heddman stainless one for $140 (YIkes!). But if they offer stainless it probably can be had aluminized as well. But a phone call is in your future since it wasn't on the web site.

I went with the 2 1/2" inlet/outlet Turbo Tubes, but on the 225 I would seriously consider the 2" which should knock the sound down a bunch. They offer 1.75", 2", 2.25", 2.5" and 3" versions of the mufflers.

My '79 has an AMC 360 in it with Flowtech headers and it sounds wicked Cobra-like when you get on it, but it can get old in a hurry on a longer journey.

A decent exhaust shop should be able to affix the collector mounts to the muffler of your choosinh
