so I am concerned with the inner frame fixed pivots (non shackle end), specifically the spring shackle bolts.
my lift kit comes with the hardware seen below. the leaf springs have the softer bushings pressed in withe the same steel sleeve to accept a modern bolt, this is fine until you need to fasten the springs to the spring pivots, as your all aware they use the bolt that is shown on the top of the images - it is larger then the bushings inside diameter with the steel sleeve - if I do not use the sleeve the jeep shackle bolt fits the bushing but steel on this material seems like it would get worn in short order. how do I work around this? do they sell larger bushings with the steel sleeve?.

the last image I believe shows the correct way to install the shackle ends? all seems fine there correct.

If it were me, I would try and make the stock, factory steel/bronze bushing work in your spring eye; then use the factory spring bolts which you can grease.
Not as much stress/movement on the rear or solid end like there is on the front shackles.

That appears to be a grade 8 bolt. 1/2 or 7/16's dia? Personally, I don't see any reason those will not work and if they are 1/2" bolts, it's going to be significantly stronger than the 7/16's grade 5 stocker's. I actually think those poly bushing will last as long as the stock brass versions-most of which probably look like what fell out of yours. I use a little silicon grease on the poly bushings-bushing side only.

its a 7/16th grade 8. the shackle side (last picture I posted shows they work great for the shackle end)
but on the fixed end the 7/16 will not work and the stock willys bolt measures at 9/16ths.

so you also think running the oem willys bolt directly on the inside of the bushing will be fine? (with no steel sleeve, the bushing without the sleeve fits the 9/16ths nicely)
I do have a lathe I can turn the bushings inside diameter down and sleeve it again with steel to fit the 9/16ths oem bolt but if the bushing will last itself why bother.

if all is well I will order new oem willys bolts tomorrow and get these springs on :)

Since you have a lath, make your pivot bushing's out of steel 7/8" OD -- 1" .978 th's long and the ID .551 or 14MM and then you can grease them. I 've run steel bushing's for years' and no problems.

Yep, will run on a new stock bolt just fine.

now aside from my original question which seems like its solved (find out when I get my new OEM pivot bolts)
    - well, should I grease the pivot bolt or will this kill the hard plastic bushing?

    new question
is it worth drilling the grade 8 bolts for the shackles for a grease fitting??

if anyone can chime in on drilling the shackle bolts! and greasing the plastic bushing (see post above)

now I am hoping to go to my friends shop tomorrow to use his hydraulic press to get the rubber cased bushing out of one eye of each spring.
question, stupid as it may be are the springs directional? only install one way? I firmly believe they are not but do not want to press out a bushing to find out I did the wrong eye!

plan is press out one bushing from each leaf spring! so I can use the OEM bolts directly on the hard plastic.

Probably any chassis grease would work OK, but I think I'd use lithium-based grease. Call the mfgr to determine if there is a difference between the ends of the springs. On 'stock' (OE) FF springs there is no difference.

You should not need to drill shackle bolts if you ordered greasable bolts?
