Lhead Starter... That Explains it

Well i finally pulled my starter today. I took the swotch off the top of it and tested the starter, it did spin just fine. I looked at the switch and noticed that when i turned the nut to tighten the battery cable to the switch, i turned the bolt and broke the little protective sleeve and the copper contact grounded against the housing causing the short. So fortunately it id just a switch and not replacing the whole starter.
