How about an add-a-leaf for this, what to go with? or should I have them taken apart and have more leafs put in them. The big problem is I am flat broke and it sits in my drive way mocking me to fix it.

Check to see if a blacksmith / spring place can rearch them.

I think you may have had a miscommunication with your spring shop. What is the measurement eye to eye? I'm wondering if you wouldn't be able to pull a set off of a 1/2 ton pickup truck at the local salvage yard.

How much are you willing to change? The front outboard hangers on a Jeepster are applied to the frame rails, so you could move them forward and back to accomodate whatever junkyard springs you could find. These cars came with really soft rear springs which gave them a soft ride but made them fairly flat when installed. The standard spring was a single leaf, so your 3 leaves should have a high enough rate to provide the height you need if they had the proper arch. If you have enough arch and can add more leaves, then the ride height may be ok without those long shackles. Of course, adding more leaves will increase the rate and stiffen the ride.

So, your options as I see them are - have springs built with the proper arch - add more leaves to increase the rate - add coil-overs or air shocks or air bags or such to increase the rate - use your existing springs and move the springs to the top of the axle - use some other springs and move the frame mounts around to accomodate them.
