    500 watts!!! Has about two pounds of copper in the tip.

    Iron plating the tip makes it last much longer. These are good for lead filling in colored glass work.

    New one on me, Walt.(y)
    Although I doubt I'll wear it out in my limited use.

    I thought it was important that the tip be 'tinned' copper to flow the solder onto copper work? I'm working on a copper-and-slate roof.o_O

    Yup. Renting a work-lift.

    Town library. The original contractor walked off the job, and they can't get anyone else. I was dumb enough to raise my hand.
