A little while back I posted a poll about putting a Trektop on our JK. I installed it yesterday, and must say that I am initially quite impressed. There is a drip rail design that makes it super easy to flip the top back, and the ride down the highway is quieter than OEM. There is also a cool feature where the rear quarters are built into the windows so that when you zip them out, the top becomes a sturdy bikini, or in the case of the Unlimited, maybe Bimini is a better term. Anyway, I like it!

Clint, shoot a pic of the top with windows removed, when you have a chance.

Is that a Greystone? That's what I have! Trektop looks good. I'm about to put a 2012 soft top on my '07.

Might be spring, it's getting pretty cold here now.

Yes, it is. I might be having to rename the title of this thread to "JK Build Thread." We bought this Jeep in '07 with 3 miles on it. The wife and I like this Jeep so much, we're considering getting another 4dr next year, and this would become my project Jeep. Been reading about 6.1 Hemi swaps...

That's great! I ended up getting a 2012 for my wife because she always wanted a black unlimited and I have never been able to give up my Greystone. I bought mine new and its been through a lot because of the Army moving us around. I tried getting into older Jeeps again this past summer, but it's just not the right time now in our lives. Maybe when I am retired I can satisfy the CJ bug. The unlimiteds are just so useful!

That would be great if you turned this into a build thread... I just had to comment on the Greystone. They are very rare.

Here's the rain channels I was talking about. The top just flops down into them, no more clipping the top into the door jamb. I was skeptical at first, but it does not flap going down the highway and repelled my garden hose gun at a decent pressure. Putting the top down is as easy as undoing the clamps from the driver's seat and flipping it back if all you want is Sunrider.
