I realize I should likely be asking this at that other forum, but what are folk's experience with aftermarket rear bumper/tire carriers. With the exception of ARB, all the import stuff is not going to be on my table. Sort of leaning towards a Warn Elite.

We bought the Mopar rock crawler bumper and their tire carrier. I had to do some grinding on the part of the bumper that holds the tire carrier latch for the tailgate to clear, but other than that the fit and look are great.

After a little more research, thinking maybe a Rock Slide Engineering unit might be the ticket. Like their tire carrier better.

I have followed some of the threads at both the Wrangler Forum and Jeep Forum. A lot of stuff out there but a general lack of real details from manufacturers and being in the sticks, none of the 3 local 4x4 shops are going to stock any of those on spec so just no way to actually look at one unless you know someone with one. Since this isn't on the tomorrow install list, going to have a couple months to research.

The big problem with a lot of user "reviews" is that no one wants to admit they bought junk or something with less than desirable features so unless they actually fail, a lot of things will be under the radar. That and the sample base is usually one.
