Pulled the 67 Jeepster out of storage a couple weeks ago. It has been sitting for about 5 years or so. It started right up after I filled the tank with a couple gallons of clean gas. The tank was totally empty.

I knew the brakes needed to be done, so the plan was to replace parts as needed. I know it will be hard to believe but all 4 wheel cylinder bleeders opened and the adjusters were not stuck! Rebuilt the 4 wheel cylinders, turned the front drums, and installed a new master, brakes work good for a 50 year old truck. But then......the fuel tank started leaking.....

I was planning to bring to the Midwest Willys Reunion in a few weeks. Hope I can get a tank in the next two weeks.

Like you, I'm about to bring my 67 outta Mom's garage for the summer. Got the carb rebuilt and installed, filled the low tire and topped off the charge on the battery. Then I could not find the keys....! Did find the keys the other day:D, but haven't been back to try and crank her up for the season. Will do that this week-end.

Then next week I will need to install the new plastic tank I bought last year and plumb the fuel lines. That way I can discontinue using the 5 quart oil change jug under the hood as the world's smallest Commando fuel tank.
