My ‘57 with the 3 in black diamond lift daystar shackles leans to driver side. Lift is about 10 years old. The driver side shackle leans back more than the passenger side. Time for new lift? Recommendations?
    Thanks
    Paul

You could try swapping the springs from left to right before you go as far as buying a new lift.

These will have a little extra weight on the left side since the drivetrain is offset to the left a little, plus the driver. If the springs are sagging a little, the swap might fix it. Otherwise you could always shim the passengers side down a little with shims between the axles and springs.

I would loosen everything back up and check/set spring preload...

Something about a 10' pole comes to mind.

Anyway, yea, they all lean. Always have. It's been discussed here over and over and over again.

As suggested previously, it might not be a bad idea to try swapping front springs left-for-right. I have done this before and improved things, though it still wasn't perfectly level. I also found spring eye bushings that were damaged that needed replacing while swapping springs.
    Good luck!

I bought a black diamond lift with daystar shackles yesterday and now I see this! Glad I'll be able to excuse the inevitable lean

I am running a 1/4" shim made out of flat bar under the right side of my jeep. Took 10 mins to make and 20 min to install.

Similar here. I ran some galvanized washers (3 I think) on top of each body mount bushing on the drivers side. It gives the illusion of level and the washers are hardly noticeable.

That way works too. Mine shim is in between the spring and axle tube.

thanks for the input guys. Plenty of options. I guess measuring from bumper to ground front and rear...take the difference from other side and adjust that much?
