scanned my cab corners. next step, figure out how to make mold. (this is just the scan of the front passenger side corner)

not sure if i want to make concrete cases, and hand pound sheet steel?
make both halves of the mold and press them in a hydraulic press to form the metal?
just use it as a form for fiberglass corners?

Metalshaper on youtube has several FC panel forming videos including cab corners. He also has some nice equipment, but it may give you some ideas...

one quote came in at 146 bucks for an aluminum front lower corner. i was in a hurry didnt notice that. i imagine steel to be cheaper.
i dont think thats a bad price at all.

    your guys' thoughts?

steel and aluminum don't mix well - welding
only option is flange and pop rivets

Aluminum is softer and much easier to form, so I would expect it to be much less expensive to have made.
A stamping die would be ideal, but cost prohibitive considering the limited demand.
Though far from a complete cab corner, I have cut up a repair panel from a VW Karmann Ghia rear quarter panel (behind the rear wheelwell) that got me almost half of the lower corner with a very close shape, after some massaging.
Let me know if you come up with anything better.

Any more info on what model BMW? 3, 5, 6/7 Series? That patch looks pretty close.
