    [IMG] I was asked how I installed my 2003 Dodge Neon seats in the Jeep. So I typed the dirrections while I still rememberd how I did it. They were long so I figured I would post them here also for anyone else want to put a set in. It is a easy job to do and is a clean looking job and does not mess up the original part od the Jeep except for 5 new holes in the floor for the mounts. Here is the instructions how I did them;

    They are out of a 2003 Dodge Neon. Easy to put in also! You need 3- 2" x 1/4" x 26 inch long sections of strap steel and one about 36" long. On the passenger side pull your old seat and bend using a torch and a vice 2- 90 deg bends so it fits on the outside of the original cast front floor mounts and drill and bolt with 3/8" bolts leave it a little loose so it can pivot. The bends need to be about 2 1/2" long on the ends. Set the seat on the mount and mark the 2 holes for the seats mounts and the rear mounts will sit right agaist the rear wheel well on the floor. No extra room either. Drill the front mount and bolt the seat to it. Now you need to bend 2 more matching straps for both seats to hold the rear of the seats. These need to be bent so they are 2" from floor to top of the mount. Bend so the lower part goes out for bolting to the floor. I had to drill those mounts close to the edge so the floor bolts went thru the over laping seam right at the top of the rear bed floor. Again all holes are 3/8" in the mounts. Take the rear floor mount and lift up the seat and set the seats mounts on it and mark the 2 holes and drill. Tempory bolt it on and mark the floor for it's holes. Remove the temp bolts in the seat and bolt it to the floor, then bolt it to the seat. Your done with the passenger seat. On the drivers side you need to bend the front 2 taps on the seat mount. I heated them with a TORCH and used a big cresent wrench to grab the tab and bent it up flat right in front of the bump in the steel mount. You will see what I mean when you look at the taps they went down to bolt over the Neon Floor instead of sitting flat. They work on the passenger side OK due to you can twist the mount you make for the orginal floor mounts. After you bend those mounts you mount the rear of the seat to the floor mount the same way and same place as the passenger side first. Leave all bolts a little loose till you have the front one in. On the front Drivers seat floor mount you need the steel longer than I said it needs to be around 36" long and cut to size after bending it. You need a aprox 5 1/2" offset in the steel so one end can bolt to the floor in the center area of the Jeep next to the tool box on the passenger side. After you line it up on the seats front mounts mark the holes for the holes on the seats 2 mounts and drill and temp bolt it on to the seat. NOTE! You need to center the seat behind the steering wheel first befor you drill and bolt the rear mount to the floor. The rear mounts will only go in one place due to the wheel well but can move side to side some. The front mount will sit above the gas tank about 1/2" for the bolt heads to not hit it and you need to put these bolts in befor bolting it to the floor! Now that you have the seat in place with the rear mounts and the front mount tem bolted to the seat mount the steel strap should be sitting on the side of the opening you get into the Jeep. There are several holes drilled there allready and a plate under it taped for 5/16" bolts. Find the one that is centerd under the strap mark and drill it for a bolt. Put your 5/16" bolt in this hole and make tight. On the other end of the strap you can drill it at the same time also drilling thru the floor for the 3/8" bolt to hold it down. Now loosen the bolts on the Jeep for this strap and tighten the seat mount bolts tight first, place a 2" wide rubber protection pad under the strap between the gas tank and the strap. I used silicon glue to hold it in place to the gas tank. I just put a strip of glue on the pad slipped it under the strap and bolted the strap to the floor. This will keep the bolt heads from wearing into the Gas tank later if it settles or bends while the Jeep flexes. Remember after drilling the outside hole for the strap on the door edge you need to mark the end of the strap and cut it flush with the side of the Jeep! Now you can bolt the seat tight to the floor and you should be done. Enjoy your new seats. Not sure how the fit will be for someone 6 ft tall and over but I am 5' 5" tall and I have lots of room between the wheel and me and if I tilt the seat back it can go far enought I can't reach the steering wheel.
