Installation Tuffy Security Lockbox

    LOOKING FOR SPECIFIC LOCATION INFORMATION!

    I am invoking Engineering Law 1 - Never Reinvent The Wheel!

    I am looking at install a Tuffy Universal Security Lockbox in the engine compartment over the passenger side wheel well of my 1974 CJ5. If anyone has done this installation would it be possible for you to supply SPECIFIC location dimensions for the mounting holes. I am concerned that if I don't get it right the box will interfer with the hood when I close the hood and my wheel well may turn out looking like Swiss cheese.

    I would mock it up. You can use columns of plasticine clay to measure the distance between your hood and mock-up. Close the hood ans see how far they squish.
