(Inside) windshield latch color

    To add to this debate, what color are the interior windshield lathces supposed to be, black or body color???

    All the sets I've had were kind of a gray color from the anti-corrosion coating given them by the manufacturer. Most of the time I've had to remove it when de-rusting the latches so I paint them black or have them powder coated. I'll be looking into having them re-coated something that matches original when I restore the '57 though.

    Matte zinc plated, I expect.

    Looks like zinc to me. Cad plating is a lot whiter.

    Yeah, I think it's a zinc plating, similar to galvanized.
