Hey, guys! I finally got the I4 Hurricane in my '57 CJ-5 hobby/project vehicle running smooth. In my efforts, I checked the plugs. Clearly the time had come (and passed!) to replace them. When I got to the local parts store to pick up a few things I realized I forgot to notate the TYPE of plugs that were in there. So I checked one of those cross-reference computers. It told me I needed #65/A65 plugs. When I went to replace them, I noticed they were different than what was in there! I think the ones in there were #63... They don't extend quite as far into the chamber as do the #65's.

Although the plugs need to be replaced, the vehicle does run with the existing plugs, so I put them back in until I know the #65’s won’t do any harm to the engine. I later checked the Hayne’s Manual. IT recommends a Champion RFN14LY/FN14LY.

What the heck kind of plugs should I put in there???

    Thanks,
    Brian
