I put about 50 road miles on my new suspension Saturday and its awesome. Rides like a YJ. On Sunday evening I took the jeep out for a few hours of ranch road riding. Steep hills, off camber, flat dirt roads, and some mildly flexy situations. My dad rode with me for a before and after comparison. No comparison! The softer suspension allows so much more grip, places that I would have used considered using 4wd before I did in 2wd without even using the rear arb! On the way home I noticed a ringing sound that went away after 45mph or so. It was a maddening run this thing into the next possible tree kinda sound...... Jacked the jeep up at home and fired it up. Here is what I found..... I'm going to guess that a piece of welding slag is broken loose in the tube. Back to the drive line shop this morning, he was pretty embarrassed..... We agreed I wouldn't tell any one...... He has been doing my race car stuff for years.
