How to take apart CJ2a Air Cleaner

I have pulled the bottom and cleaned out the oil and cleaned out the exterior, but i found a huge mud dauber nest inside the top portion of the air cleaner. What is the procedure to take apart to clean out the top and probably take out the metal mesh to convert the filter to a dry filter. I have read about the oil filter being better but i am going the dry filter route.
