As an ironworker, I like my Torch, we always said "If I have a troch and a welder I can't screw up, just weld it back together and cut it again". When I heat it with a torch, it almost squirts out, don't get it on you, burns like crazy. I put urethane bushings in mine, seem to be ok.

Personally, I'd stay away from the BFH. You can actually bend the frame beating on the hangers, not to mention the possibility of initiating stress cracks in the frame mounting. I also have tried most of the mentioned means but the most effective I have found is using a mandrel I machined that has a 7/16" pilot and an OD about .003 less than the bushing OD. Using that and a "C" frame press makes quick work of it with minimal distortion/damage of anything.

thanks for the hint on swinging thor's hammer...

still looking at the heap of pieces I have lying around for making my big C-clamp do the work.

Using the air-wrench and some all-thread and a big socket worked on a couple, but then it spun out repeatedly on the next two... those may get the flame, should keep the mosquitos at bay for a but while that rubber burns out.

fiddling with rustoleum primer (by the gallon) and a HLVP from cardboard freight... learning to spray it
