Oh Great Jeep Gurus! Where do you find numbers to ID the transmission, transfer case? I see a 24 behind the bell housing but can't get enough light or grease removal to see anything else. I hear t90/t86/t14a and to look for 1302 but WHERE? All original (1967 225 oddfire)

You should have a t86 if all original.

Maybe a few late '67's, but generally the T14 came about in '68

Wow! what a cool site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wandered @ the Novak site for a good hour reading about all the drive line swaps, (many I have, but when I read about them NOW, it seems easier than when I did them!!).
Whom ever reads this thread should ear mark that site!

Found it. Drivers side near top. T86. Had to use a small digital camera and take 100 pictures then screen through them cause I couldn't get my face under there!
    Thanks

LOL - before digital cameras we used mirrors on arms that had a little pivot on the end. I still find it to be invaluable for lookin in those hard to reach places.
