How does the master cylinder arm detach from the brake pedal?

Because it will be my daily driver I want to add a brake booster on to my Half Cab. When I tried to detach the master cylinder arm from the brake pedal I was stumped. There is what looks like a bolt going through the arm and through the brake pedal. I thought there might be a hole in the end of the bolt for an allen wrench. No luck. It is completely round and there is no clip that I can find that keeps it on. How does this thing come off?

Once you get the two bolts off that hold the master on the firewall you have to push the whole assembly forward and work the pushrod off the pin on the pedal at the same time. Awkward and a tight fit but it does come off.

That is just a round pin that originally had a cotter pin through it. Likely rusted off. PB Blaster spray and then rotate the pin and or drive it out. They can be rusted in pretty good.

No cotter pins on a Jeepster, they used a clip like some emergency brake cables used. I know there's an actual name for them but all I've come up with is a mickey mouse clip cause that's what they look like. If yours doesn't have one it's because a lot of times they weren't replaced. http://thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mF3-H2dXtxdGDY1PAuJmDyA.jpg
