I am trying to stop the flow of water into the wrangler. I am now looking at the doors. When inside i see the outside through the front corner where the door and soft windows meet. I am not sure if there was something there and it was removed before i got the jeep. I am thinking some kind of foam rubber to fill the gap. Is there a product already out there? I did search but never found it and probably am searching incorrect terms. It looks to me the rain is coming down the soft top edge, going through the gap and then flows down the hard door inner panel and finally to the floor, pooling up real nice. Has anyone found a remedy for this gap?

I remember that on the wrangler there was a protection above the doors, so the water could flow outside the door.
If not, you have to glue one, taking care not to push it inside when you close the door.
I have no other solution for you... I avoid using the Jeep when it rains, in fact!

I think i have that still. here is a pic of the daylight showing

It drives fine in the rain. I have it parked outside so it gets water in the floors so i am trying to battle it to keep rust at bay. I also want to put some carpet in to make it a little more insulated in the winter :) Thanks!!!

Water loves carpet, not a great way to fight rust. ;) Maybe a piece of rubber stuck in there.

Adhesive-backed foam (closed cell) weather stripping from the hardware store. Used a lot of it on my Wrangler hardtop and doors.

And as Alan says, I built small gutter extensions above the front top corner of the door opening. Before that the floor pan would be a pool of water after rain. I even drilled drain holes in the floor.

Do you have a picture of the gutter extensions? I had some foam from pipe insulation. I carved a piece and stuck it in there to see how it goes. It is supposed to rain tonight and i am curious if it works.

Oh I know the carpet will stink from rain. I am probably going to just to the center and the rear and leave the floors just open with the rubber mat. Just need some insulation in there, but then again i am not that cold of an area, but it sure is colder than Florida was ;)

    thanks guys!!

there should be a snap on the upper door skin that will get rid of that gap.

I have never had water from right there, just water from the heater drips down to floor after heavy rain over night.

I cut some small 'wings' out of aluminum sheet and used rivets to attach them, with silicone caulk, on top of the fiberglas gutter molding. Just a few inches at the top front corner of the door opening, and only extending out about a half inch to the sides. But they divert a lot of water that used to get in at the hinge side of the door/window.
