This is a picture of my brothers trailer that we built over 20 years ago to pull behind his 1976 CJ5
It has the same track with as a CJ and uses the same wheels and the lug is 5 on 5.5
He has a truckers top that covers it to make it water tight. The rack on top was added last year for things like the cooler and tables., It used to be on the Jeep but we were always hanging it.

The frame of the trailer made from 2x2x1/8 tubing, fenders are 10 gauge, sides use 1x1 tubing covered with 16 gauge.

Can someone fix the title Home Built trailer

    My DIY jeep trailer
it's based on the trailers used by the Aussie army for use behind landrovers
mine of course uses early cj springs and is 5 on 5-1/2" stud pattern
the original idea of the drawbar is so personel can get in and out of the back of the towing vehicle easily, and it is full length so you could hook up 2 or the trailers.

Nice design! I like the galvanized tub. I have been toying with the idea of building one for myself, I have some leftover late CJ-5 springs and wheels/tires that would be perfect.
