You speaking of the transfer case shifter single stick/cane or the entire transfer case? What model transfer case?

Jeepsters came with the Dana 20. The shifter is the same as a Wagoneer, with different length rods - known variously as the U-shifter or J-shifter. They do wear out, but some disassembly, cleaning and lube will help.

    Look at 62-73 J-Series, Gr 19 - L 3 here: JeepĀ® Parts Manuals online

Any '70s TSM will show it too.

Can't help with the iPhone issues - resizing is trivial on a laptop/desktop.

shimming up the play will help also. i drilled through the bracket that the shifter pivots on and used a bolt with washers and lock nut to take up the play. it's a rough fix, but it works well.
