Headlight Switch

The NAPA/Echlin HL6049 switch (from the Original style headlight switch thread) is one that looks like it has more functions or separate terminals for the headlights and parking lights, just like the "Early Switch" as described in the service manual. The 6049 has a spot for an inline fuse in place of the circuit breaker that the "Late Style" has. The early switch has terminals for:

Battery
Rear lights
Head lights
Parking lights
Auxiliary

That's a lot. The newer style has less.
I'm fairly confused now.

 

The non echlin switch from that other page that had one apart, looks like my original, which except for a fuse instead of a CB, and the echlin like switch I have functionally replaces the original (or what I believe original), in that it has the same functions, but two terminals for the 1&2 circuit, the original one..

Omix ADA and others sell original style switches which are nearly identical to my original.
