Hi all. I was searching the all so mighty internet looking for info on my hardtop. All I find is Koenig, meyer.....but none look like mine. I found some pics of a 1969 with a top like mine and he posted the serial number tag with the manufature. I looked the manufacture up but they went out of buisness years ago. I am just curious to what years this top was available. I have pics posted on webshots. Not sure how to insert a link. hope this works.

I am looking for any info.....

    Thanks

Thanks but I have looked there and none of them look like mine. The tag in the top I found on the net says Orrville Products Inc. which was located in Ohio.

Thanks for the input. Just curious....does yours have a serial #.. manufacture label. I looked at the Meyer pictures and descriptions and it does sound like a Meyer. Thanks

What I see, with the exception of the top door hinge, is exactly what I picked up tonight. I say Meyers. The angled windows in doors and the 2 reinforcing stamped ribs along door look Meyers to me. If anyone has a pic or 2 of the hinges on the Meyers that mount to side of body and windshield ,I would sure like to take a look.

    Mud,
Orrville is about 45-minutes south of me. I did some googling and found out that the company closed in '02. Here's a snippet from an article about it:

Maybe your top is a Ford Van part? Hmmm, there's a '73 Postal CJ that still delivers mail in a town 30-minutes away. Next time I catch him, I'm going to inquire about the top/tag.

Here's the article in its entirety:

All 3 of my jeeps have hardtops and they are all different. I have 1 that looks like yours and will try to get to it and look for info.

IIRC Orrville = Meyer. They don't make hard tops any more. I thought that tehy still made steel parts for fireplaces, stoves, something.

Looks like a Meyer to me (except for the top door hinges).

Search for Orrville in this forum. Check these Meyer cab pictures from cj51969: http://members.aol.com/mmes1/hardtop.html

FWIW I found a special note about serial numbers in my book pertaining to Meyer cabs.

" The serial number for the all metal cabs can be found on either the inner or outer surface of the rear panel, adjacent to the tailgate. Refer to this serial number when ordering cab components."

    an example given is: 131-6483

    gotta love that word "either"
in other words, we don't know where we put it!
your upper body door hinge mount looks very different than the 2 pictured; could it have been fabbed by someone?

Those look like the original hinges, except they've been moved from mounting on the windshield frame (ca 6" above the hinge) to the windsheild hinge on the cowl.
