Equus is “ok” but lower end. Auto meter tends to be much better quality.

Personally, I would stay away from Equus. The appearance is decent but I have used those gauges and have had them fail...only to invest in Autometer everything. I am very happy with the AM quality.

Like Tim suggested SW is decent. VDO used to be good, perhaps still is.

Decide on electric or mechanical. I run all electric. Avoid the mechanical oil pressure gauges with the plastic line into the dash. It will eventually leak or kink or melt. Usually good gauges will come with a set of brass thread adapters for the sending units.

I am a bit overwhelmed with the situation of my OEM cluster, It wasnt installed when i purchased the jeep. Looks that the wires are there, but there has been so many random electrical things done, I dont have the time nor the experience to spend chasing and repairing. I plan to keep it, but mainly for looks for now until i can actually spend more than an hour a day working on it. I have 4 kids which leads to little to no extra time, I am trying to get it road worthy asap.

If you get something like this - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g2925-v - this is a mechanical oil pressure gauge (OPG) and a mechanical water temperature gauge (WTG), plus a voltmeter. The mechanical gauges do not need electricity, other than for illumination. The voltmeter needs a single wire to any source of switched power. Pretty simple. Some readers here will complain about the plastic tubing used for connecting the OPG, but in my experience it's fine - keep it away from the hot manifolds. Suggest you cover the entire length of plastic tubing with vacuum hose before you install the ends, to protect it. A mechanical WTG has s bulb on a long tube that's permanently attached to the gauge.

I did these ' Cuz my '75 has a Digital dash that I can't trust. Most definitely use some copper or other tubing than the plastic, for the Oil Pressure gauge. Engine heat & vibration will mess with the plastic line very shortly, IME.
These are Bosch that I picked up at the local flaps . Pleased with them , especially for the price.

Just my experience, but I have had more longevity with the plastic tubing vs the copper tubing for oil gauge...neither will last for years and years, but my current plastic tubing is 4 years old and hasn't ruptured - but I am thinking of replacing it out of due dillingence. Due to the vibration and work hardening on the end of the copper tubing where the compression fitting goes in to the gauge, seems like I can only get a year or so before it starts leaking in the cab....Maybe if I had more skill will bending a nice loop or something to absorb some of the vibration. On the flip side, the plastic tubing can melt if it gets near the exhaust manifold/header etc.
